Having a unified place where all reports can be accessed including the different metricsand dashboard can make it easy to monitor performance and reporting on Appian. This can be accomplished with an out-of-the-box integration object and a Connected System that can be used for integration with Power BI report server (On premise/Cloud)
Some of the reporting on appian highlights include:
• Various metrics and dashboard can be viewed in one place
• Basic users who create the Power BI dashboard in report server will be refreshed back in Appian
• Developer time is not required for building Power BI reports/dashboard
• Access to the reports/dashboard in Appian can be controlled
Step 1: Microsoft Power BI Connected System Configure information in connected system of Power BI report server.
Note: These plug-ins are deployed separately. You can use the Connected System as a standalone plug-in. If you want to use the Component plug-in, the Connected System must be deployed and configured.
Step 2: Integration Object Use the integration object either with the direct connection details or using connected system which is created above .
Step 3: Call data Create Interface to call the data using integration. The Power BI report dashboard will be called in a webcontent component
