Spreading Colors Beyond The Canvas

For Srinandhavi Nandhakumar, Senior Technical Consultant at Vuram, art is an expression of life and celebration of colors. Born and brought up in Coimbatore, her journey with Vuram began 4 years ago. Her first published work of art was the scenery that she drew and colored when she was in the UKG.

Though art and drawing fascinated her, she took her passion to create pencil sketches and paintings only occasionally. During her college days, Nandhavi became the go-to person to draw records for her classmates and nearly missed out on the world of colors.

While at Vuram, Vuramites were invited with canvas and paint to create art that will be showcased to decorate the office walls. She took the opportunity to paint on a canvas for the very first time. The encouragement from her colleagues enabled her to complete the art and the experience of witnessing her creation decorating the office walls immensely motivated Nandhavi to pursue her passion intensely.

Vuram’s Upturn Fund initiative provides financial support to individuals and families for purposes including accessing medical treatment, hospitalization, continuing studies, and financial support to vulnerable families who have lost sole bread-earning family members. Vuramites can refer people in need to the Upturn Fund initiative to support them and make a difference.

Based on details validated from the referrals, the Upturn committee reviews the requests and processes the payments directly, crediting the fund to the beneficiary’s account. The initiative has benefited more than 340 families across India as of 20 October 2021. The majority of the fund has reached the beneficiaries residing in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, and New Delhi.

It is essential to foster resiliency and provide resources to prepare for future challenges and ensure social development despite the challenges.
