Key Responsibilities

  • Know our buyers better than they know themselves. Understand and document the buyer’s journey, including where they get information and how they make decisions. Based on what you learn, collaborate with solution management and marketing teams to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target buyer personas.
  • Build on product messaging that sets our products / solutions apart from others in the market.
  • Study our competition, their offerings, and how they are positioned. Know our competitors like the back of your hand: what they do today and what they plan to do in the future.
  • Follow and analyze market trends to develop product marketing strategies (For example, establishing product pricing, advertising, and product launches).
  • Create compelling content for the solutions in the form of case studies, battle cards, videos, website copies, landing pages, ad campaigns, and blog posts.
  • Develop a marketing plan for the products / solutions you own in conjunction with our marketing team, including key activities, number of leads and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.
  • Plan and implement the launches of net-new products / solutions and releases of existing products / solutions.
  • Run Marketing campaigns for your products / Solutions and create a pipeline of qualified leads through various avenues; Measure the effectiveness of campaigns and continuously strive to improve. 
  • Act as the primary thought leader for the products / solutions you own. Speak and present the products / solutions to internal audiences, in external speaking engagements, and the press.
  • Understand and support our sales channels. Train our teams on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; 



  • 5 – 10 years of product marketing experience with at least 2 years of experience in a market-facing role (e.g. delivering presentations to customers and prospects, conducting competitor analysis and market research)
  • Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, Project or Basecamp
  • Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such as Slack and Salesforce
  • Familiar with marketing automation tools such as Marketo, Pardot and Omniture, and Google Analytics
  • Power-user of networking tools such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram
  • Research skills: Gain insights into customer needs and experiences through data analysis, surveys, and customer interviews
  • Collaborative skills: As a product marketing person you will need excellent people and management skills to collaborate with multiple teams across the business and third parties. This will often include the sales and marketing department, the engineering department, product management, the press and PR, and senior executives.
  • Communication skills: You will frequently have to write engaging copies and present the ‘story’ of products / solutions through various marketing channels. Ideal candidates will have the flair for translating technical details into benefits for the user.
